FC Shobuj Bangla was established in 2021, just before the second edition of the Finn-Bangla Football Tournament (FBFT), during a summer family picnic, sparked by a few football enthusiasts who shared a deep passion for the game. The formation of the first ever Shobuj Bangla squad felt reminiscent of the movie Lagaan—a diverse group made up mostly of older individuals from various professions, many with little to no formal football experience, united solely by their love for the sport. Since then, the club has experienced remarkable growth, driven by a forward-looking vision and a strong sense of community. Shobuj Bangla FC has earned respect for its commitment, sportsmanship, and quality of play—culminating in their proud achievement as the reigning CHAMPIONS of the 2024 & 2025 FBFTs.
